I have always been passionate about food as a whole, my 'foodie' journey and interest in food stemmed from a very young age. My Mum is a Dietician by profession and an amazing cook – I would have to say the journey started from standing in the kitchen with her from a very young age but also through the exposure I had coming from a diverse cultural background with a Gujarati mother and Finnish father. A pivotal pint of growing up was we always ate at the table and a different dish/cuisine was served each day which really opened all the doors to the world of flavour.

I then studied Food and Nutrition throughout high-school and then went on to read Food Science and Nutrition at The University of Nottingham. I then majored in Sensory Science which really changed my view and the way I approach food, during shopping, the cooking process and whilst eating. I am constantly wanting to learn more about and how we as humans perceive food at meal-times and how we create our own relationships with food.
