PUMPKIN & SAGE PINWHEELS
I set myself a little challenge this Halloween to see how many recipes I could come up with using pumpkin puree! I generally prefer butternut squash but thought I’d give it a go😊
.
Sharing my first family friendly recipe which is so easy and quick - because who doesn’t love a cheesy pinwheel? But one with a difference..love the flavour pairings in this one! Hope you guys enjoy it.
.
✨Ingredients
- 1 sheet @jus_rol ready-rolled puff pastry
- ~ 1 cup pumpkin puree (200g roasted and pureed with 2 sage leaves and 2 cloves garlic cloves)
- Handful broccoli florets (steamed, finely chopped)
- Handful grated cheddar cheese
- Sprinkle of nutmeg
.
✨Method
Preheat oven to 190C. Unroll pastry and spread a layer of pumpkin puree, scatter broccoli evenly, sprinkle cheese and nutmeg. Starting at the shorter end gently roll and cut into equal slices. Place on a lined baking tray leaving enough space between each one. Bake for 15 minutes, leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Love these as a quick toddler lunch, dinner or on-the-go snack (also perfect for BLW)
